Text formatting



Formatting tags allow text to contain codes in angle brackets that start and end a format. Examples and instructions below.

Formatting tags can be applied to the following fields:

  • Title
  • Sub-Title
  • Description
  • Summary
  • Reference Notes
  • Additional Notes
  • Exhibition Notes

Below are the tags that can be applied using angle brackets and a code:

  • Bold: to make text appear bold you need to insert the start tag of ‹b›this is bold‹/b› - example text where this is bold.
  • Italics: to make text appear with italics you need to insert the start tag of ‹i›this is italics‹/i› - example text where this is italics.
  • Underlined: to make text appear underlined you need to insert the start tag of ‹u›this is underlined‹/u› - example text where this is underlined.
  • Subscript: to make text appear subscript you need to insert the start tag of ‹sub›this is subscript‹/sub› - example text where this is subscript.
  • Superscript: to make text appear superscript you need to insert the start tag of ‹sup›this is superscript‹/sup› - example text where this is superscript.

Important: when you are in Admin or User mode you can enter the above tags where required. On the public website mode the text will appear with the formatting you have applied.
